How to Weekly Plan with a Digital Planner – Video Two

Weekly planning is one of the cornerstones to the Key2Success digital planning system. Branden spends about 15-20 minutes each week on this page. Start by identifying your accomplishments and unfinished business. Never plan for more than what you can accomplish in a week. In other words, set realistic attainable goals.

Next, determine what might be distracting you or pulling you away from your ability to achieve. Re-assess your priorities and identify opportunities. Making a written note is a manifestation of you making a commitment. Utilize the planning board to move the mind clutter to the page to better organize and identify patterns.

Finally, set intentions and tasks. After completing this part of the planner, you should have a sense of calm and purpose as you start your week.

How to Maximize Your Day with Daily Planning – Video Three

Use side-by-side annotation to migrate calendar items into your planner. (Learn the difference between Primary and Secondary calendars here.) Identify your Key 3 – the things that will make the biggest impact on your day. Use your weekly planning to help dictate your daily plan. Create a framework that helps you maximize your time and objectives.

At the end of the day, take one last look at your day view and move whatever is needed into the next day. By combining your weekly and daily planning, reduce your anxiety and create a system that helps you live the life you want.

Setting Focus and Priorities through Monthly Planning – Video Four

Attain overall traction in your month by harnessing the power of weekly and daily planning into monthly planning. Learn how to use the digital planner to recognize your focus and understand opportunities. Identify your key role (communication, innovation, etc) and use this to develop accountability. Create a timeline for projects and goals that helps you facilitate routine and habits.

Use the Ideal Week section to create routines and find gaps and opportunities for your monthly framework. There is a seasonality to life and it can be easy to lose stride with the season changes. Use monthly digital planning to prevent yourself from losing momentum. Help balance your personal, self, career, and relationship goals.

Establishing Your Vision through Digital Planning Video Five

This is where the Key2Success Planner becomes more than just another digital planner! By implementing daily, weekly, and monthly planning, you have now created space and opportunity to be more productive.

What could life look like? The Vision Board is a place to start your brainstorming. We don’t want to live in a wheel – we want to live a life that fulfils us. Set a vision for your life and use the tools to break down your goals into action steps.

Setting Goals and Action Steps with Digital Planner – Video Six

The Key2Success Planning System helps cultivate goals in four main areas: self, community, relationships, and career. Oftentimes, these four areas are intertwined.

Build healthy goals by first brainstorming and setting goals. These are Big Picture things. Determine what excites you about each area. Then, outline and blueprint your goals. Recommit to your motivation. Brainstorm what you’ll need to accomplish to move towards your goals. Do you need to take a course? Read? Learn something? Set an outline and make action steps.

SERIES 2: Building Framework

How Key2Success Was Created and How it Impacted My Thinking

Whether you are new to the planning system or have been a customer over the last few years, you might be curious how we got started and how you can use the planner to set framework and achieve your goals. Though Key2Success, we’ve built the ability for you to have focus and productivity in your week by organizing your life on a monthly and quarterly basis, but also beyond that. That’s where this second series comes into play. Building Framework is a means that helps you look at your vision and your long-term goals and build out a system for success for yourself. As we kick off this training series, I want to take a moment to share a little bit about my story with you.

Creating a Business Plan with the Professional Builder – Video Two

In 2004, I was 20 years-old and I wanted to start my own business – so I did. After six months of running my own business, my partner and I had achieved over $84,000 in gross sales and it was time for us to look at expanding. There was an opportunity in front of us to grow our business by buying out one of our competitors. Looking back, it was freaky as heck – but at the time, it was exciting. Being 20 years-old and being naive to many aspects of business, everything like that felt like a step I wanted to take.

I wanted to take that step, but it was a leap of faith. I didn’t have the financial capability of undertaking this endeavor by myself, so I approached one of the local banks in town that was an SBA lender and I sat down with that individual that had the power to basically grant my dreams if he gave me the funds that we needed for this investment.

How To Break Down Boulders – Video Three

Let’s talk about facing challenges. These challenges are really going to be about creating change in our organization and identifying the things that are impacting our abilities to grow.

First up, the Boulder Breakdown. As we indicated in the professional builder, you have Boulders (challenges) that you are facing. This page is going to further expand on those boulders to help you develop a plan so you can move forward.

Start by identifying the Boulder and how it is impacting results. Include previous attempts made to break down that Boulder and what the long-term risk is if you do not address the Boulder. One of the biggest things I want you to take away from the Boulder Breakdown is: The power of motivation to achieve something can directly be tied to your risk of not achieving it.

Implement Action For Success – Video Four

Learn your strengths and how you can utilize those resources to further your growth, reach your Vision, and overcome Boulders. The Strength Maximizer is a page that expands off of the Professional Builder and is designed to help you attain confidence and assurance.

First, identify different talents in your organization, then analyze how you can utilize those strengths to create accountability and implement action. What resources do you have that align with those different action steps? How do these strengths contribute to the big picture?

The Strength Maximizer goes beyond the Self and determines what tools you can access to build upon your own strengths. As you goal plan and fill out your vision board, it’s important to utilize strengths and indicate action plans in a broader framework. What is it about the organization that you have around you that’s going to help you improve? This could be friends, family, an employer, or other networks.

Each person has different talents and strengths. By identifying the talents and strengths of those around you, you can better determine how they can help you generate success – and vice versa.

Next, it’s important to evaluate how growth might impact these strengths and staffing needs. As a business grows, staff are impacted in different ways. Their roles may change or their workload shift. By identifying these components early on, you can develop a plan to handle changes and Boulders that might arise.

Each person will have action steps and a role in any change that happens. Having a plan is key to managing success.

Organization Change that Leads to Success – Video Five

Not only do I want you to have success today, I want you to have continued success throughout all experiences. Use the Adaptation Process to manage expectations and adapt so that your success doesn’t plateau.

The Adaptation Process involves identifying the things that are impacting your business. Next, we determine whom it concerns and use the Planning Board to expand upon this. The planning board is a space where you can start to identify necessary process changes and ideas for improvement. Highlight shifts in the organization that you might undertake to effectively overcome the impact of what your organization is facing. Outline the steps you have to take and adaptations that you’ll need to make.

Through the adaptation process, you’ll indicate what adaptations to make as you start to see the success from your goals. Determine in advance what would trigger you to make these adaptations. You’ll identify your role in this adaptation – are you managing it, are you part of it, are you someone that’s going to help contribute to it?

What you’ll find from using this adaptation process is that it’s a great coaching tool. When I’m working with different organizations, there are different people at the front of the plan that have involvement with trying to grow the results of the organization. People that are affected by those results need to understand how the adaptations and changes to the processes are ultimately going to positively affect the organization’s ability to continue to grow.

By communicating the vision from day one, by explaining how you’re going to achieve these goals and how those goals might lead to adaptations – the people that are experiencing that change are more willing to participate because ultimately they know that change is part of the success plan.
