A free, guided worksheet for reviewing Q3 and planning a focused finish to the year. Score your four Annual Keys, set no more than three Q4 goals, and map monthly milestones. Delivered as a printable PDF that also works in GoodNotes, Notability, OneNote, and most e-ink tablets.
Description
The Fourth Quarter Forward Worksheet is a free Q4 planning worksheet for people who want to finish the year on purpose instead of letting the holidays decide for them. Q4 has 13 weeks on the calendar, but between holidays, travel, and year-end deadlines, most of us get about 10 that actually count. This worksheet helps you decide what those weeks are for.
It is the same worksheet I use with my one-on-one coaching clients, built on the Key2Success planning method: look back honestly, plan around your real life, and commit to a first step you can finish this week.
What’s Included in the Q4 Planning Worksheet
- 8 guided pages organized into three parts: Look Back, Think Forward, and Commit
- Q3 Scorecard across the four Annual Keys: Self, Career, Relationships, and Community
- Unfinished Business sort (Carry, Delegate, or Drop) so old goals do not quietly pile into Q4
- Q4 Reality Check that maps October, November, and December commitments against your open windows
- Q4 Key Goals page (maximum of three) with monthly milestones for October 31, November 30, and December 31
- Boulder Breakdown, Strengths to Lean On, and an Ideal Week Start / Stop / Keep reset
- First-week Key 3, a written Q4 commitment, and a planner transfer checklist
- Delivered as a PDF, free and instant after checkout

Q4 Planning Worksheet: Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Fourth Quarter Forward Worksheet really free?
Yes. It is a $0 download with no subscription and no payment information required. You check out like any other product, and your download link arrives right away.
Do I need the Key2Success Planner to use this worksheet?
No. The worksheet stands on its own. If you use the Key2Success Planner, the “Transfer to planner” notes show you where each answer belongs, such as your Goals Page, Monthly Planning pages, and Weekly Review.
Can I use the Q4 worksheet in GoodNotes or on my reMarkable?
Yes. It is a standard PDF, so you can import it into GoodNotes, Notability, OneNote, Noteshelf, or any e-ink tablet that opens PDFs, including reMarkable, Supernote, Onyx Boox, and Kindle Scribe. You can also print it.
How long does the Q4 planning worksheet take to complete?
Plan on about an hour. Part 1 (Look Back) is roughly 15 minutes, Part 2 (Think Forward) is 30 to 45 minutes, and Part 3 (Commit) is about 10 minutes. Some people split it across two sittings.
Is it too late to plan Q4 if October has already started?
No. The worksheet is built around the weeks you have left, not the weeks you missed. Starting in mid-October still gives you enough runway to finish one or two meaningful goals before December 31.
