Pocket Telephoto Lens for your iPhone

Opening the box of the Wolf Tamir Camera Lens, I have to say that I was a little taken back by the concept of the product. I had never used a lens attachment on my phone before. What interested though about this product was the 18x optical zoom. I have paid hundreds of dollars for lens that mount to my DSLR, however with the cost of this lens being under $20, I didn’t have high expectations. Matter of fact, I was impressed when I was able to actually see an image through the LCD viewer, my phone.

As I started to make little adjustments to the placement of the lens and tighten down the screws, I was able to focus in on objects that my naked eye were unable to recognize. At this point alone I could see the value of the lens for twenty bucks. Maybe you are a sportsmen and your out for hike checking trail cams and notice a deer in the distance. This lens fits easily in your pocket with your photo, allowing you to carry it with you even on those trivial walks.

As I started to work with the level of zoom, I could clearly see printed signs and markings from a few blocks away. Now the photos themselves had a light haze to them, which I have seen on many telephoto lens priced under a few hundred bucks.

I didn’t have much expectations for this product, until I took it out of the box, upon doing so, I have become more impressed by the opportunities that are in front of me. I will say I will never win an award for the photo quality, but I may just capture some shorts that tell a story.
