The latest reMarkable 3.18 update introduces a powerful new feature to the reMarkable mobile app—the Document Scanner. This tool allows users to scan physical documents, books, and notes using their smartphone’s camera and instantly convert them into PDFs for seamless digital organization.
How to Use the reMarkable Document Scanner
Getting started is simple. Here’s how you can scan and save documents using the reMarkable mobile app:
1️⃣ Open the mobile app and tap Create new.
2️⃣ Select Scanned document.
3️⃣ Hover over the document you want to scan. A blue light will indicate when the scan is complete.
4️⃣ Save your scan or continue adding more pages to create a multi-page PDF.
5️⃣ Access your scanned PDFs in My files on your reMarkable account.
Filtering Options for Better Scans
Before importing your scanned document as a PDF, you can apply filters to improve clarity:
🔹 Black and White Filter – Ideal for text-heavy pages, enhancing readability.
🔹 No Filters – Best for pages with images, preserving their original quality.
